LDAP Administrator 2018 introduces a new modern design, provides more intuitive and convenient user interface elements and improves the overall user experience you get from the product. Here are the main highlights.
The design of the entire application has been updated, bringing a new modern look to LDAP Administrator and making the UI even more user-friendly and easy to use.
The Properties dialog in the new version of LDAP Administrator is updated with an improved layout that has navigation tabs on the side.
More password hashing algorithms are now supported, including SHA256, SSHA256, SHA384, SSHA384, SHA512, SSHA512 and PBKDF2.
When selecting objects in the Add to Group or Add Members dialogs, LDAP Administrator now uses an updated user interface which enables convenient filtering and displays the selected objects as chips.
Objects can now be pasted from the clipboard into the object selection field. For example, you can copy the list of names or DNs from a text file or copy objects from ADUC and paste them in LDAP Administrator.
The list in the object selection view can now be sorted and grouped based on property values of objects. For example, when selecting users to be added to a group, you can now, group them by Department and/or sort them by creation date.
Now objects are retained in the Basket even if they are unavailable after restarting LDAP Administrator, for example, if the connection to their LDAP server was lost. In that case all the objects from the server are retained in the Basket and can be fully accessed again once the connection to the server is restored.
LDAP Administrator 2018 also includes important bug fixes, stability improvements and performance enhancements.
