LDAP Request Log is a tool that lets you monitor LDAP requests sent by LDAP Administrator and responses received from the server.
Requests and responses are displayed in the log in LDIF or DSML2 formats. This makes it possible to subsequently import data from the log to the server thus reproducing the functioning of the application.
To ensure a better readability of the information, the log provides syntax highlighting and outlining, search and navigation functionality, which significantly simplifies handling of large data volumes.
LDAP Request Log has two modes of displaying requests and responses that are returned
by the server. In the usual mode, the request sent by the application and the response
returned by the server are separate records in the log. The second mode is used to
group requests and responses. In this mode, the request and response of the server are
represented as one record that contains both detailed information on the request and the
result of the request processing returned by the server. To toggle the grouping display
            mode, use the
Group Requests and Responses button located on the toolbar.
Group Requests and Responses button located on the toolbar.

If the Group Requests and Responses option is not enabled, LDAP requests and responses
returned by the server are represented as separate records. To quickly switch between
the request record and the response record, place the cursor on the corresponding
            request/response and click
             Go to Response or
            Go to Response or
Go to Request on the toolbar.

In LDAP, a single search request, typically generates multiple search result entries.
To quickly switch between them, you can use
Go to Next Search Result or
Go to Next Search Result or
Go to Previous Search Result buttons that are located on the toolbar.

In order to simplify the work with large data volumes, the application provides the outlining feature that allows collapsing records and presenting them as a single line that contains short information about the log record.
