Softerra LDAP Administrator Help | Show AllHide All |
Favorites is a way to access your frequently used directory elements with just a single mouse click. Once added to Favorites, an element can then be found after just a couple of mouse clicks, no matter how deeply it is placed in an LDAP tree.
In contrast to LDAP Administrator v.2, where favorites were visible within the context of a profile they'd been created in, version 3 allows spotting a favorite from anywhere in the application. From now on there'll be no limitations whatsoever as to adding an element to Favorites, be it a group or even a profile.
To add an element to Favorites:
Select a target element.
In the Favorites menu, click Add to Favorites.
You can also do it by using the Add to Favorites command from the element's context menu or from the Navigation Bar.
Then you can either accept the name offered by the application, or enter an alternative name you prefer for the favorite. Then choose a destination folder for the newly created favorite.
You can define an access character to the favorite by placing a & before the desired mnemonic. |
