Users working with complex and distributed environments like LDAP directories simply can't do without such a fundamental LDAP feature as search. Directory Services like X.500(XX) and LDAP later on were originally based on the idea of users searching information inside them.
LDAP Administrator offers two different ways to search directory content. A tool called Quick Search, as suggested by its name, is recommended when you need to find something fast by a keyword or a phrase. Alternatively, the Directory Search feature is a powerful tool for advanced LDAP users designed to perform complex searches by manually specifying LDAP filters and other additional search parameters.
Please consult the Search Overview section to learn more about searching information using LDAP Administrator.
