The Basket is helpful when you need to work with entries located in different subtrees of several LDAP servers. You can add LDAP entries to the Basket to manage them collectively.
For example, you may want to add an attribute to entries located on several servers. This is the situation when the Basket can save your time and efforts. To perform such a modification, add entries to the Basket, select them and launch the Add or Modify Attribute wizard from the context menu.
To add elements to the Basket:
Select elements you'd like to add to the Basket.
Click the
Add to Basket button in the context menu or drag them on to the Basket.
To locate an element in the Scope Pane:
Select an element in the Basket you'd like to locate in the Scope Pane.
Click the
Locate in Tree button on the Basket toolbar or select the same command from the context menu, or double-click it.
To delete elements from the Basket:
Select elements in the Basket you'd like to delete.
Click the
Remove from Basket button on the Basket toolbar or select the same command from the context menu.
To delete all the elements from the Basket:
Click the
Clear All button on the Basket toolbar or select the same command from the context menu.
To keep elements in the Basket after application restarts:
Toggle the
Keep Contents button on the Basket toolbar or select the same command from the context menu.
