The first thing you need to do in order to be able to browse and edit directory contents is to create a profile pointing to an LDAP server you'd like to work with.
A server profile usually consists of a set of data needed by the application to establish a connection to an LDAP server. This data set includes host and port of the destination server, authentication information, or credentials, to access directories and other details responsible for various aspects of server and application behavior in process of browsing LDAP trees and modifying their contents.
Please consult the Creating New Profile section to learn more about how to create a profile and adjust its settings.
