This Options page helps you adjust settings that determine the application behavior in relation to its elements history.
The tree elements you have selected in process of browsing get saved in navigation history to let you quickly revisit the desired elements using the Navigation toolbar. This History option specifies how many visited elements you want stored in history.
When you rename an entry, it is possible to save an old RDN value as part of a newly-renamed entry. For example, an entry with RDN 'uid=RenameMePlease' will definitely contain an attribute uid with value 'RenameMePlease'. If you then check the Keep old RDN values while renaming entries box and rename this entry to 'uid=AlreadyRenamed', the uid attribute will appear to have two values: 'RenameMePlease' and 'AlreadyRenamed'. But, if you uncheck the box prior to the rename operation, the attribute will just have the 'AlreadyRenamed' value with 'RenameMePlease' dropped.
Some application components can save data entered (i.e. search requests or LDAP filters) for further use. This section enables you to specify numbers of various elements to keep in history:
Custom LDAP filters: set how many custom LDAP filters of the ones you've recently used you'd like to remain available.
Schema search requests: same for search strings used while searching information in LDAP schemas using the Schema Viewer.
Quich search requests: same for search strings specified while using the Quick Search tool.
